Lithography

I did a image transfer on a lithography stone i printed it blue and red and i printed black over the blue print which gave it more dept. I was happy with the result of this piece. I decided for the red print i would delete some of the image transfer with strong etch and work another color on top of that then.

Brief - Roll up, roll up

I choose a carnivalesque themed brief. I wasnt sure where to start off so i did five or six litho's . I choose three to print. none of which i liked in the end but it was a start. My tutuor then suggested i cut them up and join them together to she what i got and it acually turned out quite interesting. I then decided that ill scan the collage and maybe combine it with another print.

Digital Media

 my digital media project consisted of mandalas as a symbol of peace with the universe. I made different universe on Photoshop and then overlapped the mandalas on it to. I used my silkscreen image in Photoshop also. I used an etching print of my bee and scanned it onto the computer and put newspaper text in the background.

I Screened my first background colur. I then did a purple through the doily screen, I then blocked out some of the doilys and screened the rest in blue.

This image had to go over the doilys in a lighter colour yet still alow the doilys to come through on her skin.

I then exposed this image of a hippy girl with twigs and fethars in her hair onto the screen.

Photography based class:sequence series

I did my photography sequence on doors.I took pictures of interesting doors all different shapes and forms around limerick.I had no problem developing my images or putting them on the contact sheet but i did have difficulty exposing them on photographic paper and developing them. They turned out foggy and like ALFRED HITCHOCH style.

These where my background images aswell as an a3 sheet smaller than the a2 doily pattern.The cut out doiys are to represent the mandalas that i have been working on.

I decided to work with mandalas which represent peace and the serenity with nature.I decided to photohop my own mandalas and see what i could come up with.
