Experiments

I experimented by printing some images onto cloth. We then got a tutorial on sewing. I sowed into my material in some areas to break up the image and make it look a little more interesting.

I have two etched plates to work with over the next few weeks.

Little screen prints from the pictures i took and also some quotes i have heard of.

Pieces i made from acrobatics

Pieces are made from intaglio. I used carborundum plates . I made these from silk-screening glue onto acetate. I think these worked really well so id like to make more following the theme of fading memories.

Memory of animals from the circus . Oval shape to create old image effect. White to convey old.

These worked very well in my opinion.

Developing my project

 I wanted to create faded images of animals within the circus. Only one turned out to my taste but the others looked well too.

A week with Morgan Doyle

We spent a few days in the work shop with a visiting artist Morgan Doyle. He helped us to bring out out abstract side. This helped me because my circus images where two uptight and restricted. I want to create an old style look like a  faded memory.
